Preparation You will need: ?children’s homework (Opposites Master) from Lesson 1. ?flashcards for man, woman, and animals. 2. Review ?Have the children look at their Opposites Master. Show your own copy. ?Point to the first picture. Elicit the sentences, “(He) is a (tall boy).” “(He) isn’t a (short boy).” Repeat for the other pictures. ?Put the children in pairs to practice the structures. They should point to the matching pictures as they do so. Collect the children’s Opposites Master and keep them for use in Lesson 4. 2. Words to learn Student Book page 16 Present the flashcards for man and woman. Model the words and have the children repeat them after you. Review the flashcard for animals. Have the children look at the pictures at the top of the page. Before you play the tape, review the words girl and boy. Then point to each picture in turn and elicit the correct word. Play the tape and have the children touch the matching pictures. Replay the tape. Stop the tape after each phrase and have the children repeat the phrase. Play the tape again without stopping. Have the children say the words along with the tape. Without the tape, point to one of the pictures and elicit the correct phrase from the children. Repeat for the other pictures. 3. Listen to this Student Book page 16 Have the children look at the picture at the bottom of the page.　Show your copy of the page. Point to the first bear and ask，“What’s this?” Try to elicit，“It’s a fat bear.” If necessary, refer the children to the vocabulary (a　fat bear) at the top of the page to help them answer the question.　Repeat the procedure for the other bears in the picture. Explain to the children that they will hear a phrase on the tape and that they must match it to the correct bear in the picture. Play the tape，stopping after each phrase, and have the children point to the corresponding bear. Make sure they are indicating the correct bear before continuing. Play the tape again，stopping after each phrase.　Explain that this time you want the children to write the sentence number next to the matching bear. 4. Let’s sing Student Book page 17 Have the children open their books at page 17. Show your copy of the page. Point to the bear. Say,“What’s this?” Elicit, “It’s a bear.” Repeat for the deer and the fish. Now read the first line of the song，pointing to each word as you do so. Have the children repeat the words and touch them in their books. Repeat the procedure for the rest of the lines in the song. Play the tape straight through. Have the children listen and clap along with the words. Play the song again from the beginning. Encourage the children to sing along and touch the words in their books as they listen. Play the tape again. Have the children sing along and clap in time. Divide the class into three groups，bear，deer，and fish. Have each group sing the verse that matches their animal as they listen to the tape. Have the groups change roles to give all the children a turn to sing all the lines. 5. Review，復(fù)習(xí) 　準(zhǔn)備學(xué)生學(xué)過(guò)的動(dòng)物的教學(xué)卡片。給學(xué)生展示，讓學(xué)生說(shuō)出動(dòng)物的名稱。 　拿出鴨子的卡片，用一張白紙蓋住畫面。每次露出一點(diǎn)畫面，讓學(xué)生猜是什么動(dòng)物。 　用同樣的方法完成其余的動(dòng)物卡片。 2.一起說(shuō) 學(xué)生用書第18頁(yè) 讓學(xué)生翻開(kāi)書第18頁(yè)，看本頁(yè)上部的圖。問(wèn)學(xué)生Tommy心里想的是什么。引導(dǎo)回答：“A duck.”告訴學(xué)生Tommy和Peter正在玩一個(gè)游戲。Peter試著猜出Tommy心里想的動(dòng)物。把這一頁(yè)展示給學(xué)生。指著Tommy的對(duì)話框，邊讀邊指每個(gè)單詞。讓學(xué)生重復(fù)，并在書上指出每個(gè)單詞。 用同樣的方法完成Peter的對(duì)話框。 讓學(xué)生看右邊的問(wèn)題和回答。和學(xué)生一起朗讀每個(gè)問(wèn)題，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生說(shuō)出答案。 在黑板上畫一只鳥.一只烏龜和一只猴子。依次指每一幅圖，讓學(xué)生說(shuō)出動(dòng)物的英語(yǔ)名稱。 告訴學(xué)生現(xiàn)在你心里正在想其中一只動(dòng)物，看他們能否猜出是什么。學(xué)生必須用英語(yǔ)問(wèn)問(wèn)題，告訴學(xué)生你只回答：“Yes，it is.”或“No，it isn’t.” 學(xué)生繼續(xù)提問(wèn)問(wèn)題，直到猜出正確的動(dòng)物。 再?gòu)暮诎迳线x一種動(dòng)物，用同樣的方法進(jìn)行游戲。 把學(xué)生分成兩人一組。其中一個(gè)學(xué)生心里想一種書上列出的動(dòng)物，另一個(gè)學(xué)生試著猜是什么動(dòng)物。 讓學(xué)生互換角色，使每個(gè)學(xué)生都有機(jī)會(huì)提問(wèn)和回答問(wèn)題。 3.聽(tīng)一聽(tīng)，標(biāo)順序 學(xué)生用書第18頁(yè) 讓學(xué)生翻開(kāi)書第18頁(yè)，把這一頁(yè)展示給學(xué)生。指每一幅圖讓學(xué)生說(shuō)出名稱。例如：“What’s this?”“It’s a small bear.” 告訴學(xué)生他們將聽(tīng)到一句話，他們根據(jù)聽(tīng)到的錄音找出對(duì)應(yīng)的圖。 放錄音，讓學(xué)生指對(duì)應(yīng)的圖。 再放一遍錄音，每句話之后停頓，讓學(xué)生給圖標(biāo)出正確的順序號(hào)。 全班一起跟讀句子。 4.描一描，寫一寫 學(xué)生用書第19頁(yè) 讓學(xué)生翻開(kāi)書第19頁(yè)。把這一頁(yè)展示給學(xué)生。讓學(xué)生看第一幅圖，指著小女孩問(wèn)：“Is she a tall girl?”引導(dǎo)回答：“No，she’s a short girl.” 讀對(duì)話框里的句子，讓學(xué)生跟讀。問(wèn)學(xué)生少哪個(gè)單詞。引出short。 讓學(xué)生描出正確的單詞，再抄寫在對(duì)話框中，補(bǔ)全句子。 用同樣的方法完成其余圖和單詞。 5.布置作業(yè) 讓學(xué)生完成第19頁(yè)的抄寫并涂上顏色。
